Summary of Chapter 2 | Trigonometry | Type of Trigonometry Equation | June 2017

Good algebra  will also be required in Solving BASIC Trigonometry Equation. For example,

  1. 2 sin Θ = - 0.8660 is similar to 2x = - 0.8660
where we need to move the number 2 from LHS to RHS,
    which becomes sin Θ = - 0.8660÷2 is similar to x = - 0.8660÷2

  2. sin^2 Θ = 0.5 is similar x^2 = 0.5
where we need to move the power of 2 from LHS to RHS,
which becomes sin Î˜  ± 0.5  is similar  x ± 0.5 (note that ± appears when we move the power of 2 from LHS to RHS)
I will add more examples later.

*LHS = Left Hand Side , RHS = Right Hand Side
